Privacy, in plain English

Your trust matters to me. So here is the simple version first:

I collect the absolute minimum amount of data needed to run this knowledge library and give you access to what you signed up for. I do not sell your data, I do not trade it, and I am not building mysterious marketing profiles about you.

No creepy stuff 🙂

What data is collected

When you sign up, some basic information is processed so the service can function:

  • Your name and email address

  • Billing details (handled securely by Stripe)

  • Technical data required to operate the website (via Squarespace)

That’s it.

What I use it for

Only for things that are directly related to this library:

  • Creating and managing your account

  • Providing access to purchased resources

  • Handling payments

  • Occasionally reaching out if something important affects your access

  • Answering messages you initiate

I do not send bulk marketing emails, run retargeting ads, or track you across the internet.

(Those tools can be great in some businesses — they’re simply not part of how I operate.)

Who processes your data

These providers are established services that follow strong security and privacy standards and process data in accordance with applicable regulations such as GDPR.

  • Squarespace – website hosting and member accounts

  • Stripe – secure payment processing

  • szamlazz.hu — invoicing and legally required reporting to Hungarian tax authorities

  • Professional bookkeeping services — accounting and statutory financial compliance

Both are established providers that comply with major security and privacy standards, including GDPR requirements where applicable.

I never manually pass your data to third parties unless legally required.

Bookkeeping and legal invoicing

To comply with financial and tax regulations, billing-related data may also be processed by:

  • szamlazz.hu – the invoicing platform used to issue legally required invoices and report them to the Hungarian tax authority (NAV)

  • My professional bookkeeper, who receives only the information necessary for accounting and compliance

Only billing data required by law is shared for these purposes — nothing more. This information is handled confidentially and strictly within legal obligations.

Legal basis (the slightly formal bit)
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), data is processed only when necessary to:

  • fulfill our contract (give you access after signup)

  • comply with legal obligations (for example accounting)

  • support legitimate interests such as maintaining a secure, functional service

Your rights

If you are in the EU, you have the right to:

  • access your data

  • request correction

  • request deletion

  • object to processing

  • request data portability

Just email me and I’ll help — no forms, no labyrinth.

Data retention

I keep personal data only as long as necessary to provide the service and meet legal obligations. When it’s no longer needed, it is deleted.

Some data may be retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting laws in Hungary and EU.

Cookies

Squarespace may use essential cookies so the site can function properly (login, security, basic analytics). No advertising cookies are used by me.
